All About Me
I am so excited to be teaching in the gifted program at Sharon Elementary. This is my twentieth year teaching, but it is my first year in Walton County. I have lived in Walton since 2002, but I have been teaching in Gwinnett County Public Schools for most of my career. In my twenty years, I have taught 2nd and 3rd grades as a classroom teacher, and I have been a gifted program teacher in all grades from Kindergarten through fifth. I have always loved math! It has always been my favorite and best subject.
I have been married to my husband, Brent, for 12 years, and we have a son, Nate, who is 9 years old and starting fourth grade. We spend a lot of our time at the soccer fields as he is an avid soccer player. We have three cats named Jingles, Cutie and Oreo. Can you tell Nate named them?
I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. In addition, I have a master's degree in Reading Instruction. I'm also gifted certified and have recently earned my math endorsement. As you can see, I never stop learning! I definitely believe the saying is true, you do learn something new everyday.
